Course Overview

Discover the art and science of minimally invasive esthetic dentistry in this intensive, hands-on training course designed for clinicians who want to elevate their restorative practice.

This program takes you step-by-step through the entire workflow of ceramic restorations—from diagnosis and treatment planning to preparation, provisionalization, and final cementation. With a strong focus on preserving natural tooth structure, participants will master the principles of enamel and dentin biomechanics, partial coverage restorations, and modern adhesive strategies.

  • Day 1: Foundations & Preparations
  • Understanding advantages of indirect onlays and partial coverage restorations
  • Principles of enamel and dentin preservation
  • Smooth preparation design and prevention of stress concentrators
  • Immediate dentin sealing, gingival margin elevation, and endo-crown protocols
  • Step-by-step molar preparation, impressions, stent usage, and temporization
  • Clinical application of ceramic veneers, including contraindications and parameters
  • Day 2: Hands-On Veneer & Crown Techniques
  • Anterior preparations (central, lateral, canine) with provisionalization
  • Vertical crown preparation with knife-edge margins and proper finish lines
  • Single central workflow: preparation, retraction cord, impression, provisionalization, lab communication, and cementation
  • Properties of ideal luting cements and evidence-based ceramic surface treatments (air abrasion, etching, silanization)

By the end of this course, you will have a complete clinical protocol for minimally invasive ceramic restorations—from preparation concepts to final cementation. This comprehensive training equips you with techniques you can immediately apply in your daily practice to deliver predictable, functional, and highly esthetic outcomes for your patients.

Full Course Program

Module 1: Day 1 – Fundamentals of Partial Coverage and Veneer Preparations

This module focuses on the theoretical foundations and clinical protocols for partial coverage restorations and veneers. Participants explore the advantages of indirect onlays and partial restorations, the biomechanics of enamel and dentin, and the importance of proper reduction and cusp coverage. Special attention is given to preparation design: smooth transitions, elimination of stress risers, and proper bur selection. Modern concepts such as Immediate Dentin Sealing and Endo-crowns are introduced. The practical component includes a step-by-step protocol for molar preparation, impression taking, use of stents, temporization, and polishing. The module concludes with clinical case presentations and veneer preparation principles.

Lessons (1–7):

  • Theory of partial coverage restorations, enamel/dentin macrostructure
  • Reduction parameters and occlusal considerations
  • Smooth preparation principles, Immediate Dentin Seal, endo crowns
  • Hands-on: molar preparation and impressions
  • Temporization, stent use, and polishing techniques
  • Veneer preparation principles, contraindications, and provisionals
  • Clinical cases, interproximal extensions, and final finishing

Duration: 5 h 05 min

Module 2: Day 2 – Hands-On Veneer and Crown Preparations

This module is dedicated primarily to practical training. Participants perform step-by-step preparations on anterior teeth (central, lateral, canine) with provisional veneers. Techniques for vertical crown preparation with knife-edge margins and finish lines are introduced. Single central preparations are demonstrated, including geometry, retraction cord placement, impression techniques, stock provisional adaptation, lab framework design, and cementation sequence. The workflow emphasizes the complete clinical sequence from preparation to final cementation. The module concludes with a summary of the properties of ideal luting cements and ceramic surface treatments such as air abrasion, acid etching, and silanization.

Lessons (1–7):

  • Hands-on: anterior preparations and provisional veneers
  • Continuation of anterior preparations
  • Temporization and finishing of anterior teeth
  • Vertical crown preparation with knife-edge margin
  • Single central workflow: prep, impression, lab design, and cementation
  • Hands-on: depth cuts, provisionalization, finishing
  • Luting cement properties and ceramic treatment summary
